Quite tight updos are fairly common at
weddings. But the risk of tightness is it
can limit styling options, look too harsh,
and make the hairstyle look devoid of
personality.
This brunette bride, seen here from
the back, has a pretty tight bridal updo.
It's not very tight, and it does show
some personality.
The special updo was designed with
many different sections separated and
independently curled or twisted. The
division of the hair, however, makes
several partings quite pronounced on the
side of her head.
Not every bride will want that look—it's
a bit strong, especially for brunettes. (It
wouldn't be very noticeable on blondes,
though.)
White floral hair ornaments are a good
decision for this type of updo. It
softens the look, making it more romantic
and bridal.
Note that white is the most popular
wedding hair ornament color, but white
ornaments contrast the most with dark
hair. Because they stand out more, you
need to pay more attention to how they
look, and how many you add to your hair.
